Shae butter is inexpensive to source and produce.
Shae butter helps with softening and health of hair and skin. In butter production there is usually a very muted scent as much of the additional oils are removed from the butter. With shae butter the butter itself also has the shae scent. In its unrefined state it has a rich earthy smell. Many manufacturers want a cheap scentless base, so they over-refine shae butter (robbing it if its scent and many natural benefits to skin and hair) and use this mixed with other cheap ingredients and scents as the main ingredient in all their products. Our shae butter is unrefined and retains its beneficial properties and the scent works in concert with our other butters to provide a pleasureable aroma that rivals any cologne.
Shae butter promotes collagen production and decreases the breakdown of collagen that’s already present thus preventing wrinkles and promoting good skin health in general. It also helps "lock in" moisture and all the other benefical ingredients so they have maximum effect.
In our products it was selected for skin/beard health, and its ability to maximimize the benefits from the other key ingredients.
Lime butter is very expensive to source and produce.
Lime butter has many beneficial properties. The mild acid helps with skin exfoliation and promotes good pore/follicle health. It also helps other beneficial ingredients penetrate hair and skin, and is a major antioxidant. As with the unrefined shae butter, lime butter retains much of the original scent. The rich lime citrus scent is a perfect compliment to the shae butters warm earthy tones and those two scents are the predominant scents that come through with our unscented butter.
In our products it was selected for its exfoliation and beneficial impact on pore/follicle heath.
